A small explanation of the Carbon Technostructure directed by Emilie Sornasse in the framework of Future Generation @mad.brussels, curated by Adeline Faveau The cloud plotter, developped in collaboration with Gijs de Heij, is part of Carbon Technostructures, a project that visualises the digital carbon footprint of cultural venues. It works by plotting on steam the carbon impact of the venues’ website in real time. During the Future Generation exhibition, it displays the carbon impact of a visit to Mad Brussels website in real time, taking into account the energy sources that are powering its hosting servers located in Roubaix, France. The cloud plotter was created in the framework of the Imagining Ecological Futures residency organised by the Kikk Festival and the Goethe Institut Belgium in partnership with the Centre culturel de Namur www.guillaumeslizewicz.com
